The most awaited sedan this year shall also be the cheapest in Honda’s line up of cars, as Honda Brio Amaze gears up to enter the market as Honda’s first diesel-engine equipped car. And hopefully this diesel entry shall pull up Honda’s dipping sales graph.
The sedan derives power from a 1.5 litre i-DTEC 4 cylinder diesel engine that’s highly power efficient and delivers awesome power. This motor was formulated next to the 1.6 litre i-DTEC Dreams diesel engine that has huge praises under its name. The petrol version of the Honda Brio Amaze derives power from the same 1.2 litre 4 petrol motor that powers the Brio hatchback. With length <4 meters and engine less than 1.5 liters, the Amaze finds its eligibility as a small car and will bask in the excise duty benefits showered by the Government of India, which implies that Honda may be quite pushy with the price in the Indian market.
While rumors flew that the Brio Amaze shall be launched in April, the date was rounded off recently as April 11th. The sedan’s production is being carried out in full swing at its manufacturing unit and Honda hopes to have 10k units of the car ready prior to its launch. The sedan exudes confidence, and is sure to keep on toes its peers in Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and the Chevrolet Sail.
