Acer’s ‘Liquid’ family spreads! Taiwanese tech giant Acer has announced the launch of their fifth ‘Liquid’ smartphone called the Liquid Z3. According to Acer, the Z3 is without the unnecessary size and comes packed with everything that is necessary. The smartphone will be made available in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, UK and Ukraine from mid-August with a price tag of €99 (approx. Rs.8,000).
The Liquid Z3 is driven by a 1 GHz Dual-Core processor. It offers 4 GB of in-built memory externally expandable via a microSD card. It runs on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean). The device holds a 3.5-inch HVGA screen with 320×480 pixels resolution. This dual SIM smartphone also comes equipped with a 3-megapixel camera on the rear side. It measures 109x60x10.4mm and weighs 120 grams. A 1,500 mAh battery fuels the Z3.
Z3 has four Quick Mode profiles to offer- a different profile that suits different users. ‘Basic’ Mode with call and text functions for youngsters. ‘Senior’ mode with features like quick call contacts, weather, magnify, messages, radio, clock etc. There’s a ‘Classic’ mode that simplifies and organizes layout for all main functions for those using a smartphone for the first time. For people who use voice often and need the keypad constantly the phone facilitates the ‘Keypad’ mode.
Acer’s latest offering has two colour options- Rock Black and Classic White. Just like every other Acer smartphone the Z3 also supports ‘AcerCloud’- Acer’s solution for file sharing and media management.
