Auto major Mahindra and Mahindra’s two wheeler division rolled the ‘Centuro’ out of its stable with a price tag of Rs.45,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The first 10,000 Centuros, however, will be sold at Rs 44,000/-.
The Centuro 110 is powered by a 106.7cc single cylinder air-cooled MCi-5 engine. It produces 8.5 bhp at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 8.5 Nm at 5500 rpm. It has four speed manual transmission and can zoom to 60kmph from rest in 8.9 seconds.
The Motorcycle comes equipped with an ‘Anti-theft alarm’, remote key flip with key light, ’Find Me’ lamps, guide lamps and a digital dashboard that indicates the maximum distance before the Centuro runs out of fuel.
The Company intends to launch new vehicles in next two years in a bid to strengthen its position in commuter bike segment.
