Mira Nair’s eagerly awaited venture The Reluctant Fundamentalist, based on Mohsin Hamid’s novel by the same name, shall be released in India on April 2013. The moving tale of a young man wooing corporate success on the Wall Street who finds himself trapped between his big fat American dream and his homeland post 9/11, has already graced quite a few film festivals and was even the closing film for the 43rd International Film Festival of India.
PVR is in control of the movie distribution in India, and Joint MD of PVR Limited, Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, stated that the film prospects look quite good in the country. Shot in parts of Lahore, Istanbul, New York, Atlanta and Delhi, the movie stars Kate Hudson, Kiefer Sutherland, Liev Schrieber, Riz Ahmed, Shabana Azmi and Om Puri in the lead roles.
