Hero MotoCorp has two fresh launches for Diwali in Hero Splendor Pro Classic and Hero Passion Pro TR, where the former is a café-racer-styled bike being offered for Rs. 48,650/- (ex-showroom Delhi) and the latter a 100cc bike celebrating ‘singlehood’ of the youth at Rs. 51,550/- (ex-showroom Delhi). Charmers, both of them. At the given price, Splendor Pro Classic is India’s most affordable café-racer.
Moving on to the specifications now. The Hero Splendor Pro Classic features an air-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder 97.2cc engine that offers maximum power of 6.15 kW (8.36 Ps) at 8000 rpm and max torque of 0.82 Kg-m (8.05 N-m) at 5000 rpm. It enjoys a café-racer styled single seat (similar to the one seen on Royal Enfield’s Continental GT), vintage style graphics, cafe cowl and front and rear lights. The bike houses a multiplate wet clutch with 4-speed constant mesh gearbox coupled with tubular double cradle frame, and sports hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and rear. Other mechanicals are front telescopic forks, rear coil springs, drum brakes at both front and rear. It has a 11-liter fuel tank capacity. Hero Splendor Pro Classic could be availed in two colours – Solid Maroon and Carbon Black.
The Hero Passion Pro RT features a 97.2 cc engine that delivers 7.8 Ps at 7500 rpm max power and 8.04 Nm max torque at 4500 rpm. Special features include a knee pad for better grip, a designer knuckle guard, a bash plate to protect the engine, headlamp grill, and a unique off-road tyre-thread for better grip. These bonus accessories make the Passion Pro Rt look much more sturdier that the standard Passion Pro. It has a 12.8-liter fuel tank capacity. The frame type is tubular double cradle, and the bike sports hydraulic shock absorbers on the front and rear. Passion Pro RT is available in 3 vibrant color options – Electric blue, Sports Red and in a Black and Red combo.
Hero’s new entrants in its commuter lineup definitely carry appeal, and it remains to be seen whether the youth will embrace these bikes with equal enthusiasm. What do you think? Let us know in comments below.
