BlackBerry Z30 has finally hit Indian shores. The smartphone will be available in Indian markets starting next week with a price tag of Rs.39,990. Z30 is BlackBerry’s first 5-inch smartphone. It was first introduced to the world in an event held in Kuala Lampur last month. The device has already been listed on popular e-commerce website Saholic.
BlackBerry’s latest offering sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive display (1280×720 pixels resolution). A 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with Adreno 320 GPU powers the Z30. It packs 2GB of RAM with 16GB of onboard storage which can be expanded externally up to 64GB via a microSD card. It runs on the latest BlackBerry 10.2 OS which supports the newer version of the BBM.
Cameras are two. The primary camera fitted behind the smartphone is an 8-megapixel snapper with LED flash assistance. It can capture videos in 1080p at 30fps. The front facing 3-megapixel camera can record videos in 720p at 30 fps and primarily assists in video calling. List of connectivity options features 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB v2.0, GPS/A-GPS and NFC. The Z30 survives on juice from a 2,880 mAh battery assuring 25 hours of use.
One of the highlights of the BlackBerry Z30 is that users can tap on icons to get an instant preview even when the screen is locked. It also comes equipped with stereo speakers coupled with ‘BlackBerry Natural Sound’. Then there’s ‘Paratek’ antenna that ensures enhance reception even in regions of poor connectivity along with faster rate of data transfer.
It also learnt that the roll out of BlackBerry 10.2 OS update for BlackBerry Z10, Q5 and Q10 devices will begin soon. According to the Canadian smartphone maker it will start with Europe followed by Canada, Middle East, Africa, Asia and rest of the world.
