This Day In History- 25th May

Back in 25th May 1965, the Second Kashmir War commenced between India and Pakistan. This war resulted following Pakistan’s Operation Gibraltar, a plot devised to worm their forces’ way into Jammu and Kashmir to provoke insurgency hostile to the Indian rule. After thousands fated martyr in this fight, UN came in the play authorizing ceasefire, following which the Tashkent Declaration was issued.
