The new double decker train, fourth in India, started its maiden voyage today. The train is specially targeted for the morning commuters who wish to reach Bangalore by afternoon.
The train (no. 22625) can accommodate 1200 commuters at a time, and has fixed travel timings. It leaves Chennai Central at 7.25am sharp and reaches Bangalore by 1.30pm. For return, the train leaves Bangalore at 2.40pm and reaches Chennai by 8.45pm. A single AC chair car fare is Rs 470/-.
