The two Indian companies, ICICI and Airtel, figure prominently in the BrandZ list of the Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands 2012. While it’s one of a first for Airtel, ICICI has experienced this glory before. Technology companies rule the roost leading with Apple, IBM, Google and Microsoft. The only non-technology enterprise featured in the top 5 is McDonalds.
ICICI is valued higher than its global counterparts like Standard Chartered, Citibank, Nissan, Sony and Volkswagen at 67. Airtel tails closely at 71.
