Taiwanese tech giant Asus has launched a 4GB variant of the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML in India with a price tag that reads Rs.18999.The announcement was made on the company’s India page on Facebook per which stock is limited. The smartphone is available with popular online shop Flipkart along with the other ZenFone 2 variants listed on the e-retailer’s website.
The ZE551ML is powered by a 1.8GHz Intel Atom Z3560 Quad Core processor coupled with a PowerVR-G6430 GPU for enhanced graphics performance. This is unlike the other version of the device with similar specifications that is driven by a processor that has a clock speed of 2.3GHz. It houses 4GB of RAM and has up to 32GB of internal storage to offer. Memory can be stretched further up to 64GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with the Zen UI mounted on top. The UI has a new look and has been designed for a smarter user experience. Users can customize their ZE551ML as per needs. The UI also has new features like ZenMotion, SnapView and Trend Micro Security.
The display this smartphone sports is a 5.5-inch IPS HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It has been carved out using Asus’ TruVivid technology that brings colours in crystal-clear pictures to life. Also the screen’s response to touch has been recorded to be 60 ms. The handset is 3.9mm thick.
The primary camera is a 13MP shooter while the secondary is 5MP blessed with an 85-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video chats. The speakers within have been designed using SonicMaster technology by the Golden Ear Team. The new ZenFone2 depends on a 3000mAh battery to keep it going. The BoostMaster technology enables the device charge at a rate that’s double the normal speed. So you have 60 per cent charge in just 39 minutes.
