Micromax MTS Canvas Blaze MT500 Available For Price Rs.10,999: 8MP Camera, Quad-Core Processor

Mobile major Micromax and MTS India have jointly floated the Canvas Blaze MT500 with a price tag of Rs.10,999. Another addition to the famed Canvas series of smartphones, this dual SIM (CDMA+GSM) gadget, previously spotted with a leading online shopping mart, is available with retailers across India. Owners of brand new Canvas Blaze can opt for an MTS plan that offers 2GB of free data, free 1000 minutes of MTS to MTS calls and 2 hours of local and STD calls. The offer stands valid for six month only.

Canvas Blaze MT500 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that will pump data services on 3G EVDO. The CPU is coupled with 768MB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. There’s 4GB of onboard storage to hoard music, pictures, videos and other apps. Memory can be stretched to as much as 32GB via micro SD card. Canvas Blaze packs a 1,850mAh battery.

The MMX-MTS device holds a 5-inch display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels. The 8-megapixel rear camera can auto focus and has LED flash support. The VGA snapper on the front clicks selfies and assists in video chatting. Connectivity options include the usual 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch Vikas Jain, Co-founder, Micromax said –

Our new offering based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor will help GSM consumers take advantage of the superior 3G EVDO network of MTS while retaining their GSM number.”

It’s been a deluge of Micromax phones this year and as we inch towards the end of this year MMX still has more to offer. Some notable Canvas phones floated this year were Canvas Turbo A250, Canvas Magnus A117 , Canvas 2.2 A114 and Canvas Juice A77. Micromax also emerged strong in the budget smartphone segment with its ‘Bolt’ smartphones. Recently the company listed Micromax Bolt A61 on its official website.
