Veteran Bollywood actor Manoj Kumar was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the finale of the recently held 4th Jagran Film Festival. Sridevi bagged the Best Actress honor, while Ranbir Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar shared the ‘Best Actor’ award for their respective roles in Barfi! and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The award for the ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Movie’ went to Abhishek Kapoor and his creation Kai Po Che, respectively. The Best Debut Director honor was bestowed upon Anand Gandhi for his intellectually rich film Ship of Theseus.
Other awards include ‘best singer female’ that was bagged by Aditi Singh Sharma for Heroine, while ‘best singer male’ award went to Ayushman Khurrana for Vicky Donor. Pritam bagged the award for ‘Best Music’ for his brilliant compositions in Barfi!. Vishwaroopam received the special jury award for raising the bar of mainstream Indian cinema at an international level.
The finale of the festival was held in Mumbai from September 24-29. The fest had traveled 15 cities across seven states before its conclusion.
