The Chinese firm Xiaomi today added a new member in their much hyped ‘Mi’ series. Calling it as Mi 4, this new smartphone is a successor to Xiaomi Mi3. The company have lot of expectations with their new offering in India after overwhelming response from Mi3, which the company claims to have sold its complete stock in 38 minutes and 50 seconds on online shopping portal Flipkart.
Calling it as the fastest Mi phone yet, Mi4 upgrades itself by fitting a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz which is coupled with 3GB of RAM. There is a 5 inch full HD IPS screen display with a resolution of 1980 x 1080 pixels and 441 pixels per inch density; same as that in Mi 3, but the only feature which differs in them is that the newer version is equipped with JDI OGS full lamination display, which improves clarity while keeping the screen extremely thin.
For imaging, Xiaomi Mi 4 is equipped with a rear camera of 13 megapixel capacities with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p full HD video recording along with an 8 megapixel snapper on the front. Both the cameras are equipped with Sony’s COMS sensors. The phone comes with 16 Gb and 64 Gb storage options and fits a 3080mAh Li-ion battery under its hood. Features such as 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC ensure full connectivity.
The price of Xiaomi Mi4 is not known, but it will definitely cost somewhat more than is predecessor model Mi3, which was priced at Rs. 13999. Same as that in case of Mi3, this phone will also be available on Indian eCommerce giant, Flipkart.
