The initial whispers in the trailer of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, a cinematic adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s magical world by the same name (first presented as a Hogwarts textbook), is reminiscing of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Even the musical score of the film is somewhat similar to Harry Potter’s. The spell releases a patronus-shaped light from the wand, revealing Katherine Waterston’s character. Other cast members include Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, and Ezra Miller.
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them releases its magical creatures into a New York of 1926, where magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) makes a stopover to collect new magical animals. The story is set decades before the boy who lived marks his first attendance into Hogwarts.
Directed by David Yates, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is scheduled for a theatrical release come November 18, 2016.
