Sharat Katariya made his mark when he scripted Bheja Fry, one of the most mature comedies to have ever come out of Bollywood, and his second directorial attempt is an unlikely marriage set in Haridwar of the late 90s.
The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana as a simpleton Prem Prakash Tiwari who is married off to an overweight girl (played by debutante Bhumi Pednekar). One can’t help but smile when Ayushman’s vernacular describes how even looking at the English question paper and listening to Kumar Sanu songs prompt him into cry-mode. Bhumi looks extremely promising. Having Anu Malik as the music director is just fitting, since he was at his career best in the 90s.
Produced by YRF Studios, the film is all set to release Feb 27, 2015.
The trailer looks lovely, and I for one am definitely looking forward to how this film turns out. Watch it below and let us know your thought in comments.
