Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do is finally out with its first trailer. The Mehras (Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah) want their son to get married to a girl who’s interested in some other guy. Their daughter wants to divorce her husband because she no longer has feelings for him. Brother Mehara (Ranveer Singh) suggests Sister Mehra (Priyanka Chopra) to go for another guy Sunny (Farhan Akhtar), with whom she just can’t get along. The senior Meharas believe that their world is a jolly little place where every being is happy, when in fact, they’re not. There’s a cruise where Ranveer meets Anushka and sparks fly.
This is a film that deals heavily with the concept of love and marriage and is sure to tug the emotional cord tightly. Family is a high point, and this film shall surely strike a chord with people who just can’t muster enough courage to against their parents’ wishes.
Written by Reema Katgi and Zoya Akhtar, the film is scheduled to release on 5th June 2015.
