Vivo on Monday launched yet another Selfie-focused smartphone in India. The smartphone is Plus variant of Vivo V5 which was launched back in November. Vivo V5 Plus has been priced at Rs. 27,980, and is on pre-orders for now and will be available starting from February 1st via both online and offline mode.
The Vivo V5 Plus is an aluminum unibody device which features a 5.5-inch IPS display (FHD Resolution) with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor which is backed by 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of internal storage. There is also a large 3160mAh battery on board, and the device supports fast charging. This is a dual SIM device with 4G LTE support.
The strong selling point of the smartphone is its dual front camera setup. Vivo V5 Plus’s dual camera system consists of a 20MP major camera with the Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor, a f/2.0 aperture, and a 5P lens system and an 8MP sub camera which works with the main camera to achieve the small depth of focus along with a selfie soft light flash. On the software, the V5 Plus runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Funtouch OS 3.0. There is also a fingerprint sensor of the smartphone which is embedded in the home button itself.
