The latest Wonder Woman trailer has arrived from DCverse and it packs an exciting punch. Diana (Gal Gadot) is a princess of the mystical island of Themyscira, and is forced to participate in World War I when the battle nears her homeland.
Wonder Woman, directed by Patty Jenkins, is (fortunately) guilty of having both humor and color – two elements which were missing from DC’s offerings in recent past.
While I loved the trailer, I believe DC revealed all the three acts along with the point of conflict – and this may undo the film upon its release for the viewers. Having said that, I truly believe that this film has potential to put DC back on track, after the heavy failures the studio registered in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad.
Meet Wonder Woman in theaters 2 June, 2017. Watch the trailer-
The trailer did a sketch of the plot, which is something they would need to do in a trailer, anyway. I’m not at all sure we know who will be the ‘big’ villain. Danny Huston is likely playing the Duke of Deception(a minor demigod with some powers) and Elena Ayana Dr. Poison(an evil human villain), but neither of them should be able to produce the lightening bolts that we saw in the last split second of the trailer attacking. As well, I’m certain that as long as Patty Jenkins has control over what goes into the Trailers, she’ll leave plenty of important persons and events out, to be seen when the movie launches.
