According to reports, Finnish cellphone giant Nokia will float the Nokia Lumia 625 by the end of this month. Sources at Nokia informed TOI that the 4G/LTE ready Nokia device will make appearance in the market in the second or third week of August. This is Nokia’s biggest phone yet. Nokia’s only metal body smartphone, ‘Lumia 925’ will also be released around the same time, TOI reports. The Smartphone’s price was estimated 220 euros(around Rs.18,000) when announced. However, experts predict it to be on the higher side when the phone hits stores in India.
The Lumia 625 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor along with 512 MB of RAM. It has 8 GB of in-built storage with support for expansion up to 64 GB via a microSD card. It runs on Windows 8 OS with latest Amber update from Nokia. The Smartphone boasts of a 4.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels (201 ppi). It has enhanced sunlight readability and is super sensitive to touch. It’s a dual camera device with a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash on the rear side and a VGA camera on the front. Unwanted objects can be removed from pictures with Nokia’s ‘Smart Camera’ app. Capture videos in 1080p at 30fps.The phone comes with 7GB of free cloud storage, Xbox Live and Microsoft Office.
Available in orange, yellow, white, bright green and black colours, the Lumia 625 also offers changeable shells. Nokia has also partnered with Coloud to develop Boom headphones for enhanced audio experience.
