Micromax along with a brand new logo rolled out 15 new smartphones on Wednesday at an event held in the national capital. The line-up includes its two flagship phones – the Canvas 6 and the Canvas 6 Pro (both sporting the same price tag of Rs 13,999/-), along with a smartwatch, two 4G tablets and two smart LED Televisions (with 40 inch and 50 inch screens respectively). One of India’s leading smartphone manufacturer, the Gurgaon-based Gurugram-based company even changed its tagline to Nuts: Guts: Glory as part of Micromax 3.0 strategy for expansion.
The flagship phones Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro will be the indigenous company’s first introductions this year, and the company has sorted out its aim to become the largest services company in India backing a 100 million connected devices by end-2017. Keeping services the most critical aspect in the strategy, the company will integrate Around platform across all Yu and Micromax devices, which will allow users to access any service with just a single sign-in. Users may opt to pay for these services using Micromax’s in-house wallet, which has also been incorporated into the platform.
After claiming the Number #3 position in Russia among smartphone brands, Micromax is aggressively striving to make a mark in other international markets as well. The company even launched an e-commerce portal where it shall immediately begin accepting pre-orders for the flagships, while listing both its new and existing products within this month. The open sale of the flagships begin on 20th April.

Specifications include a complete metal unibody design with a 5.5-inch Full HD display. Included within this body is a 64-bit MediaTek MT6795m SoC, Tru Octa-core 2.0GHz chipset with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The rear camera is of 13 megapixel and clicks high-res pictures, while the 8 megapixel camera is a win for video calling and clicking selfies. This phone derives its power off a 3000mAh battery and even has a fingerprint scanner on the back for added security.

This phone has the same display as in Canvas 6, but has 64-bit MediaTek MT6795m, Tru Octa-core 2.0GHz SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. There’s a 13MP rear camera on this phone and a 5MP front camera. The Canvas 6 Pro derives power off a 3000mAh battery.
The other smartphones launched by Micromax at the event include Micromax Bolt Supreme, Bolt Supreme 2, Bolt Q381, Canvas Spark 2+, Canvas Evok, Canvas Mega 2 and Canvas Unite 4.
