Indigenous mobile giant Micromax has officially floated the Funbook P280. The slate bears a price tag that reads Rs.4650. This MMX device is now available with all leading retailers. It follows Micromax Funbook P256 and Funbook P365 that popped up online last month.Micromax Funbook P280 is powered by a Cortex A8 dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1GHz. It packs 512MB of RAM and has 4GB of onboard storage capacity to offer. Memory is flexible enough to be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The tablet runs on Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. It comes with pre-installed apps like M!Live, Google Play Store, Spuul, Kingsoft Office Suite and Opera Mini.
The tablet holds a 7-inch WVGA TFT display. It’s equipped with a VGA camera on the front that facilitates video chatting. A 2400mAh battery fuels the MMX Funbook P280. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi and USB v2.
Speaking on the launch, Vikas Jain, Co-founder, Micromax said that “Owing to the increased consumption of entertainment on mobile devices, we have tried to provide users with their one stop entertainment device with the Funbook P280. At Micromax, we have always aimed to empower a large consumer base in the country by offering them innovative devices reinforcing our commitment to democratize and massify technology”.
Jain also said that Micromax was confident that the Funbook P280 would help them strengthen their leadership pursuit in the market for tablet PC.
