Micromax Canvas Pep Launched For Price Rs.5999: Quad-Core CPU, 5MP Camera

Micromax introduced the latest entrant to its ‘Canvas’ series of phones. Canvas Pep went on sale from today with a price tag that reads Rs.5999. This Micromax device will be available in Pristine White and Mystic Blue skins. The smartphone maker had launched the Bolt A82 earlier this week.

Micromax Canvas Pep holds a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with 854×480 pixels resolution. The primary camera fixed on the rear panel is a 5MP snapper that has the ability to focus and LED flash support. The secondary camera on the front is a VGA for selfies and video chats. The smartphone depends on a 1700mAh battery for survival.

The newest addition to the Canvas family, Pep is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has 4GB of internal storage capacity that can be flexed up to 32GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) OS. Connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi and microUSB.

Micromax also floated Bolt A82 earlier this week, the specifications of which are same as Canvas Pep. The Dual SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone comes pre-loaded with 20 regional languages. It’s the same CPU with 512MB of RAM that drives this phone. Bolt A82 too runs on Android 4.4.2 OS. It sports a 5-inch FWVGA TFT display and is a dual camera device. The primary camera has 5MP resolution while the secondary is a VGA snapper. The A82 derives its juice from a 1800mAh battery.
