Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd launched their revamped flagship Bolero Pick-Up Flat Bed for a price of Rs 5.45 lakh (BS3 version, ex-showroom price Pune). The refurbished pick-up flat bed pioneers the micro-hybrid technology, features a more modern and stylish look for exterior-interior, and has a higher load capacity of 1,250 kilograms.
Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, commented on the launch- “The Indian pick-up market is growing at 17 percent and our company is growing by 19 percent. Market is witnessing an evolution in customers’ demands and behaviors. As leaders in the pick-up segment for over a decade, we have made it a business imperative to understand these changing needs and evolve our products accordingly. The new Bolero Pick-Up Flat Bed with more modern, macho and stylish looks and superior fuel efficiency is a step forward in this direction to deliver greater earning potential for our customers while retaining the basic tough and rugged DNA associated with Mahindra vehicles.” He pointed out that India’s rural economy wasn’t affected owing to decent monsoons, and the festive season shall soon commence with Navratri. He stated that in last years they had traded nearly 70,000 pick-up vehicles, while in the current financial year their statistics record close to 1,020,000 sales. Bolero Pick-Up Flat Bed contributes as much as 60 percent to Mahindra’s overall pick-up sales.
The new contemporary Bolero Pick-Up Flat Bed shall cater to the needs of traders, taxi stand operators and businessmen. It is powered by Mahindra’s high-performing MDI Engine which delivers an output of 63HP (46.3 KW) with 195 Nm of Torque. Further equipped with Micro Hybrid technology, the mileage registered is an excellent 13.86 km per liter.
