LeEco (Le Ecosystem), the refurbished Chinese Internet brand Letv, launched two new smartphones on Wednesday – Le Max and Le 1s. Both phones are available as Flipkart exclusives, and registrations for the flash same begins Wednesday 6pm IST. The Le 1s shall go on sale 12pm on 2nd February, while the Le Max shall be up on 16th February.
The Le Max 64GB (Silver) model is priced at Rs 32,999/-. There’s also a gold color option with 128GB storage, price of which is unknown. Limited edition (1000 pieces) of a sapphire-display with 128GB storage and a pink color model will also be made available for Rs. 69,999/-. The Le 1s is priced Rs 10,999/- and offers 32GB internal storage.
The Le Max phablet features a 6.33-inch QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels resolution) display with 464ppi. It derives power off a 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC and 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The phone has a 21MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, Sony IMX230 sensor, dual-LED flash, and an f/2.0 aperture lens; and a 4-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture is good enough for video calling. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera. A 3400 mAh battery resides within the phone. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with hotspot support, Bluetooth 4.1 with APT-X support, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and 4G LTE. Other features include infra-red remote control, electronic compass, hall sensors, gravity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
The Le 1s is very similar to Le Max – a 5.5″ full HD ISP display (1080 x 1920 pixels). It had 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and supported dual-SIM (Micor + nano-SIM). The 13 megapixel rear camera sports a has a fingerprint sensor below it. The handset derives power off a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop based EUI 5.5 UI. It supports reversible USB type-C with fast-charging SpeedVolt technology that offers 3.5 hours of playback on just 5 minutes of charge. For connectivity the phone supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G LTE. It has a 3000mAh battery. Other features include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensors.
