Intex Technologies has launched its latest dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone- the Intex Aqua I-5 – in the Indian market, with a best buy price of Rs 11,690/-. Running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), the device boasts 5″ HD capacitive touchscreen and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM along with 4GB internal storage (expendable upto 32GB via micro-SD card). There’s a 12 megapixel rear flash-enabled camera comes with five layer lenses and BSI Sensor, while the 2 megapixel front camera is decent enough for voice calling. The 2,000mAh battery powers talk-time up to 5 hours and standby time up to 7 days. For connectivity, the device includes 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. The phone also packs in 4 sensors- Environment Light Sensor, Motion Sensor, Proximity Sensor and G sensor. There are two color variants available for this phone- White and Black. As a cherry on the cake, Intel’s offering a free flap cover to the buyer.
At present, Intex has 12 mid-segment smartphones in its plate to offer under its ‘Aqua’ range, and has chalked out schemes to launch over 20 new smartphones in the coming quarter. The company’s also targeting a 2 million sellout of its Aqua smartphones in the present financial year.
