Hewlett-Packard has finally launched its Slate 6 and Slate 7 VoiceTab in India for Rs 22,990 and Rs 16,990 respectively. The Slate 6 could be availed via stores this week itself, while the Slate 7 shall be available for sale next week onwards.
The HP Slate 6 VoiceTab features a 6-inch HD IPS display, supports dual-SIM functionality, runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, offers 16 GB internal storage (32 GB expandable storage slot), along with 1 GB DDR2 RAM.The 3G phablet supports WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0 for connectivity. It equips a 1.2 GHz Marvell PXA1088 quad core processor. For camera, it has a 5 megapixel AF at the rear, and a 2MP front camera for voice calling needs. It’s light-weight at 160 grams.
The HP Slate 7 VoiceTab equips the same processor as the Slate 6 and even runs the same OS, offers 16 GB internal storage (expandable to 32 GB via micro SD card slot) along with 1 GB DDR2 RAM. It supports dual SIM, WiFi, 3G capability and micro USB 2.0 port for connectivity. The Slate 7 not only has a bigger screen, but also a bigger batter – 4100 mAh Lithium-Polymer. Front and rear camera specs are same as Slate 6.
For both the phablets, HP has promised a 25GB cloud storage space. The color options are pretty restricted as of now – while the Slate 6 comes just in black, the Slate 7 enjoys a white variant as well.And yes, Slate 6 and Slate 7 feature dual front speakers.
