Google India today rolled out the ‘Start Searching India’ campaign aimed at simplifying the Web for Indian internet users., demonstrating how they can receive instant answers to the most common queries, stated Sandeep Menon, Director of Marketing, Google India. As more and more Indians are using Internet for the first time seeking extremely convenient ways to seek information online- to check weather, train/flight status or even nearby eateries to dine- Google Search shall provide prompt responses to such common queries in the form of information cards that appear above the search results.
With increasing number of net-savvy Indians embracing internet on smartphones for the smallest of requirements, Google Trends show that education, travel and yoga are some of the top searches as per Google Trends (a tool showing what people are searching for the most in a limited time period).
