Chinese smart devices manufacturer Gionee has floated the GPad G3. The Slate has been spotted on e-commerce website Snapdeal for price Rs.9,699. It joins the GPad club with G1 and G2. The tab supports dual SIM (GSM+GSM) facility with dual standby.
The Gionee tablet sports a 5.5-inch FWGA display with capacitive touch (resolution of 854×480 pixels). It is driven by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6589 processor along with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. It packs 1GB of RAM and offers 4GB of inbuilt memory space that can be stretched up to 32GB with a microSD card. It runs on Android v4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) OS. The GPad G3 is powered by a 2,250mAh battery.
Gionee’s new slate has two cameras. The Primary camera fixed on the rear side has a 5-megapixel resolution with flash assistance while the secondary front facing camera is a VGA snapper (0.3-megapixel). Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, USB and GPS among others.
Last week, Gionee introduced the Elife E6 smartphone in India with a price tag of Rs.22,999. This Gionee device is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek Quad-Core processor along with 2GB RAM. It has 32GB of inbuilt memory but no expansion options. The Elife E6 supports Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has two cameras. There’s a primary camera with 13-megapixel resolution on the back side and a 5-megapixel secondary camera on the front. The 5-inch display is full HD with 441ppi pixel density and incorporates OGS technology.
