Largest Indian automaker Tata Motors has now a new outlet to raise its sales- the internet. The company plans to sell India’s smallest and the most affordable TATA Nano online, and a simple click of the mouse shall claim your booking and get this car delivered at your doorstep (or at any Tata showroom nearest to you). The customer has to first pay the booking amount online on the portal, but nothing has been stated about the final payment ot the required paperwork. Maybe the customer has to seek the dealership for that.
Tata Motors has initiated this idea aiming to boost their small car sales. Though it’s one of the cheapest car out there in the market, Tata Nano has not had the expected run and has quite an average sales figure to boast of. Priced approximately at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the company sells just somewhere around 2000 Nanos per month.
The company is trying real hard to lure in customers. It’s encouraging customers to go for payment via credit card option, and even offered to convert full amount into EMI @ 0% interest for a span of 12 months. EMI calculated is at Rs 8,333/- per lakh.
QUite recently, the company launched the 2013 Nano that enjoyed a few upgrades. The top-end variant of the car boasts twin glove boxes, remote keyless entry, four-speaker music system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in connectivity.
