The internet-on-wheels concept is being takes very seriously by the officials, it seems. If the Delhi-Kolkata Rajdhani was pampered first with Wi-Fi access, the roads of Indore got a BSNL embrace with the company launching a Wi-fi technology module for moving cars to let people access internet while on run.The Wi-Fi technology module costs about INR 5k-6k, and was first mounted on the official BSNL car of Indore unit’s General Manager G C Pandey on an experimental basis. This is by far the first model in India where the car’s fitted with antenna through which wi-fi signals as high as 3.5MBps could be accessed from an exchange based on CDMA technology. With rise in popularity, more and more users are expected to adopt this model.
