After BlackBerry took covers off of its first 5-inch phablet last week, the much talked about ‘BlackBerry Z30’ is now lined up for sales. The device has been listed on popular online mart Saholic. It was introduced to the world at Kuala Lampur. As was reported earlier, pricing and availability of Z30 will be decided by partners of the Canadian smartphone maker.
BlackBerry Z30 is powered by a 1.7GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon processor along with Adreno 320 GPU. It was predicted to be a quad-core processor though given the device will be competing against the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z1. It packs 2GB of RAM and offers 16GB of internal memory storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. It runs on BlackBerry 10.2 OS that supports the updated version of the BBM.
BlackBerry’s latest offering holds a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Cameras are two in number. The one on the back side is an 8-megapixel shooter with LED flash that records in 1080p at 30fps while the camera on the front has 2-megapixel resolution and captures videos in 720p at 30fps. Moving on to connectivity options these include 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB v2.0, NFC and GPS/A-GPS. The Z30 comes with a 2,800 mAh battery that survives 25 hours of talk time.
