Bharti Airtel, says the report, is the world’s fourth largest telecom operator having a subscriber base of 250.04 million. With an Year-on-Year growth of 13%, the company went up a position from last year and has generated nearly $3 billion in mobile business revenues.
And Airtel’s not the lone Indian company featured on the list. Reliance Communications finds itself at #8, with a subscriber base of 154.6 million, Birla Group’s Idea Cellular is at #14 with a subscriber base of 117 million, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is at #20 with 98.28 million subscribers.
The first three in the list are all from China, with China Mobile enjoying the top spot.
