Reigning World Champion Vishwanathan Anand was held to draw by Dmitry Andreikin of Russia at the ongoing Tal Memorial Chess Tournament in Moscow. However, with this draw Anand finally had the opportunity to register points against his name.
Earlier Anand suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Fabiano Caruana of Italy in the first round of the tournament. The Italian came back strong after sacrificing a pawn during the game as the Champion from India had a tough time guessing his opponent’s mind.
