Taiwanese technology giant ‘Acer’ has made the Iconia W3 available in India. World’s first 8” tablet with Windows 8 has been released with a price tag of Rs.27,999. This figure on the price tag will ‘change’ post July and will then read Rs.30,499.
Acer’s new offering to India is powered by Intel’s Dual-Core Atom Z2760 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and 2GB of RAM. As mentioned the tablet runs on full version of Windows 8. Acer offers two variants that come with 32GB and 64GB internal memory respectively, both of which can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card.
Iconia W3 sports an 8.1-inch multi-touch display with a pixel resolution of 1280×800. The tablet is a dual camera device with a 2-Megapixel camera on the front and another 2-Megapixel camera on the rear side.
Connectivity options include WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), microSD slot, micro HDMI and microUSB. With 8 hours of battery life you can playback 720p videos. According to Acer the tablet is ideal for watching movies and getting work done when on the move.
The Iconia W3 comes with a full-size Bluetooth keyboard that holds the tablet as you type on the screen and also provides protection to the screen when the tablet is not in use.
