The eagerly awaited trailer of Chennai Express, director Rohit-Shetty’s first action-comedy venture with Shahrukh Khan, is finally arrived. The Om Shanti Om pair seem to take their chemistry to a whole new level, as they squabble and fight for a major portion of the trailer. The high-drama entertainer narrates a 40-year-old man’s experience as he travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram, where he accidentally meets a Don’s daughter and how his life changes after this meet.
Deepika Padukone is brilliant as the Tamil mouthing Southie-girl, and has mastered the dressing style and the lingo to utmost perfection. Also the background score containing slight South-Indian hues adds to the overall appeal. Produced collaboratively by UTV Motion Pictures and Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie is scheduled to release on August 8, 2013.
