Chinese tech giant Oppo on Monday launched budget smartphone Neo 5 in India for Rs 9,990, available from June 15th.
Key features of Oppo Neo 5 include a 4.5 inch IPS display with 480 x 854 pixel resolution protected by a scratch-resistant Dragon trail glass, MediaTek MT6582 1.3GHz quad-core Processor with 1 GB RAM, 8GB ROM further expandable upto 32GB via microSD. The dual-SIM smartphone houses within a 2000mAh Lithium-Polymer non-removable battery which offers 180 hours of standby time on 3G. For the rear body, Oppo claims to have used a military-grade laminating glass fiber.
The smartphone features an 8-megapixel rear camera with SonyIMX179 Backside Illuminated (BSI) sensor, and a 2MP front camera for video calling.
The phone weighs 135 grams, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Oppo’s custom Color OS 2.0.1i on top. It’s available in two color variations – white and black.
