DreamWorks Animation has given out the first three stills of their upcoming Kung Fu Panda 3, slated for a theatrical release on January 29, 2016. New characters voiced by Bryan Cranston and Rebel Wilson have been added. The ‘Breaking Bad’ actor voices Li, Panda Po’s real father, who’s been residing in a secret panda village with Mei Mei, a wannabe ribbon dancer panda voiced by Wilson. Also, additional voices to the latest franchise entry are Gary Oldman, David Cross, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Michelle Yeoh, Mads Mikkelsen, Danny McBride, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan and James Hong.
The third installment of Po’s continuing legendary adventures of awesomeness has Po facing two major threats – one supernatural and other close home.
The first two films in the franchise, released 2008 and 2011 respectively, received Academy Award nominations for Best Animated Feature film. Together they did business of $1.3 billion at worldwide box office.
