India’s home-grown automobile company, Bajaj Auto today launched a new version of Platina motorcycle. The new 100 cc version will be called as Platina ES and is supposed to read on-road price tag of Rs. 44507/-.
Bajaj Platina have always been known for its fantastic fuel efficiency, and continuing this legacy, the newer model will deliver an unparalleled mileage of 96.9 km/litre. This new model is developed on a new platform with DTS-i powered engine which forms an excellent combination of power and efficiency.
As per a report from Bajaj, a survey was conducted on 500 motorcycle models from around 50 countries to look out at their mileage, India’s Bajaj Platina tops the chart beating every other and stays the only motorcycle in 95-105 cc segment to give a mileage of 96.9 km/litre making it the ‘World’s Mileage Champion’.
The new Platina ES is designed keeping long distance commuters in mind. Long front telescopic suspension and SNS (double spring) rear suspension, along with a long wheelbase and three-inch wide rear tyres for superior grip and control on uneven roads serve the purpose.
Talking about the overall design, the new Platina ES comes with new side panels, new exhaust, modified headlamp design, altogether newly designed graphics and alloy wheels as per the specified standards. As of now, the motorcycle is made available in three colours, Candy Red, Ebony Black, and Electron Blue.
