Indigenous smartphone major Lava has launched the improved edition of Iris Pro 30. Lava Iris Pro 30+ will be made available with online shop stop Amazon starting August 26. The smartphone has been priced Rs.11,990. Iris Pro 30 was a beauty but Pro 30+, according to Lava is the most beautiful smartphone.
Iris Pro 30+ is powered by a turbo charged 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with PowerVR SGX544 GPU that clocks 357MHz. On the other hand, Iris Pro 30 is driven by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor though both pack 1GB of RAM. Surprisingly Pro 30+ runs on the old Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS and not Android 4.4 (KitKat). There’s 16GB of storage space onboard that can be further stretched up to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone brings along a 16GB memory card with it. Lava Iris Pro 30 has just 4GB of inbuilt storage.
The display that the new Iris Pro holds is a 4.7-inch IPS HD with 312 ppi pixel density. The screen is fully laminated and employs One Glass Solution. It is protected by Asahi’s Dragon Trail. Lava’s new device is armed with a 13MP BSI camera on the rear side with dual LED flash whereas Pro 30 sports an 8MP shooter. The camera on the front though, is still 3MP insatlled for selfies and video chats.
The smartphone weighs 116 gms and is 7.9 mm slim. It pumps a 2000mAh battery for juice. The battery offers 285 hours of standby time and 8 hours of talk time on 3G. Connectivity options are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB and GPS/A-GPS.
