Videocon Mobiles has announced the launch of the Videocon VT85C tablet in India. The tab bears a price label that reads Rs. 8,999. This 3G tablet has voice-calling ability. With the VT85C, Videocon looks forward to competing against other bigger names in the tablet segment. Earlier Videocon had launched as many as eight smartphones under the Infinium series.
Videocon VT85C is powered by a 1.2GHz Dual-Core Cortex A9 processor along with GC 1000 GPU. The slate packs 1GB of RAM and has 4GB of onboard storage capacity which can be expanded externally up to 32GB via a microSD card. It thrives on all juice provided to it by a 3,000 mAh battery. The tablet runs on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.
Videocon’s latest offering to the tablet category sports a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. It comes equipped with two cameras. The primary camera fixed on the rear end has a 5-megapixel resolution. The front facing camera is a VGA shooter for video calls. Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, micro-USB and Bluetooth v3.0. The slate packs apps like Facebook, NQ Mobile Security, OperaMini, Vstore and Hungama.
