The Google Nexus 7 (2013) 3G/Wi-Fi version has been officially listed for sale on the Google Play Store. The LTE variant of Google’s flagship will bear a price tag of Rs. 25,999 in India- also, this is the price of the most expensive variant. The other tablets 16GB and 32GB have been priced at $229 (Rs. 14,000 approx) and at $269 (Rs. 16,500 approx). The tablet was first introduced to the world in June this year. Apart from the “Coming Soon” tag on the Play Store, no launch date has been officially revealed as of yet. But since the price is already listed, the launch could be anticipated anytime soon.
The all new Nexus 7 is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 320 GPU clocked at 400MHz. Internal storage capacity is the basis of the variants. There’s a slate that accommodates as much as 16GB while another one offers 32GB of onboard storage. There are twin cameras. The primary camera is a 5MP auto focusing snapper on the rear side while the secondary camera is a front facing 1.2MP shooter.
Google’s latest offering to India sports a 7-inch HD display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels (323ppi pixel density) protected by the scratch resistant Corning Glass. The Slate derives all its juice from a 3,950mAh battery that assures 9 hours of HD video playback and 10 hours of internet surfing. Charging is built-in and wireless. The device also packs stereo speakers powered by the Fraunhofer Cingo mobile audio.
Google shall also be launching its Nexus 5 smartphone in India soon. As of November 1st, Google Play Store had listed the phone’s price at Rs. 28,999 for the 16GB model and Rs. 32,999 for the 32GB model.
