The 2014 BMW Z4 has been rolled out with a price tag of Rs.68.9 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Design Pure Traction (DPT) variant of it is available for Rs.69.9 lakh. This is the new avatar of BMW’s celebrated Z4 after having received a facelift has gotten even more appealing and advanced by incorporating a host of features. The car will be available across the country as completely built up units (CBUs).
Speaking on the occasion of the launch Phillip Von Sahr, President of BMW Group India said- “The new BMW Z4 embodied the excitement of dynamism and aesthetics in a more uncompromising style than ever before. It represents a time honored and yet alluringly contemporary interpretation of the traditional roadster concept. The classical proportions and unmistakable athletic character, armed with a raft of design and equipment innovations, bring more excitement to the new BMW Z4. Because when it comes to real driving pleasure, there’s one emotion that comes first- Passion.”
The BMW Z4 is powered by a 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo inline-6 cylinder petrol engine mated with 7-speed dual clutch auto transmission. It produces 302hp of power and a peak torque of 400 Nm. Focusing on the features of the new Z4 sports redesigned Xenon headlamps surrounded with daytime running LED light rings. Bumper on the front has been restyled. There’s a tire pressure monitor, the indicators are advanced and the alloy wheels are light & arched. Other features include parking sensor on the front as well as rear side, dynamic stability control, servotronic function, high beam assistant among others. There are 11 color options available along with Valencia Orange. However, this paint will only be an option for the DPT variant.
