SONY SRS-XB3 Extra Bass Bluetooth Speaker Launched For ₹ 12,990/-

Sony added a new product in its popular EXTRA BASS speakers line-up with the portable SRS-XB3 wireless speakers launched for ₹ 12,990/- in India. The speaker offers Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, and can also be used as a makeshift powerbank to charge mobile phones and other tablets with its USB-A port. It is even possible for a user to connect two speakers to a single smartphone.

The device is water-resistant, and has an 8800mAh battery that lets the device run 24 hours in a single charge. Available in black, blue and red color variants, the Sony SRS-XB3 Extra Bass speakers could be purchased from Sony Centers and other leading consumer electronic stores.

The speakers deliver a deep bass sound and also features Sony’s own digital signal processor (DSP). The 48mm full-range driver powering the speakers have an embedded magnet and feature long stroke, thus delivering the deep, rich bass. According to company specifications, the SRS-XB3 has dual passive radiators to augment bass ranges.

Adding to this, the company’s LDAC audio coding technology delivers enhanced audio experience wirelessly, letting the wireless speaker to beam three times the data volume as compared to the present technologies, and it’s said to be the first technology across the globe to deliver Hi-Res audio quality using Bluetooth Audio.

The speaker dimensions are 211 x 80 x 83 mm, and it weighs just 930 grams.

The company had earlier this year launched the Extra-Bass Bluetooth Headphones MDR-XB650BT for₹ 7,990/-, which responded to frequencies within a range of 20Hz-20,000Hz, had 24ohms impedance, 95dB/mW sensitivity, and weighed approximately 190 grams. Other extra-bass bluetooth headset they launched was MDR-XB950BT last year for ₹ 12,990/-, which could deliver a frequency response up to 28,000Hz.
